Air Beam
How It Works
![]() |
Air Beam technology incorporates thermoplastic laminates into the construction of flat bladders. When inflated with medium-to-high pressures they become very rigid, thus resulting in incredible strength that can hold up objects thousands of times their weight. The end products can be used as structural elements for everything from camping tents to patient isolation applications. |
Additionally, by altering the material properties, certain gasses can be captured into these beams for long periods of time without losing pressure. While inflated, the beams are very resilient and have excellent elastic properties.
Benefits
Air beam technology can be used in combination with portable air cylinders to erect structures almost instantly. They feature a ballistic nylon shell that resists abrasion, scratching, and punctures and can be used in very rugged conditions.
