Manometer

The Dielectrics' manometer is a low-cost device to measure pressure and is designed to integrate into other disposable products.
How it works
Essentially the Dielectrics' manometer is an air cell pressure transducer. By accurately tracking a bladder's distortion during inflation, and correlating that with a fixed scale, pressures as low a 5 cm/H20 and as high as 50 PSI can be measured. The technology platform can also be customized to measure negative pressures and even flow rates of air (and other fluids) in a dynamic system.
Benefits
The manometer has no moving parts, apart from the thermoplastic film it is made from. By changing the properties of the film, and the hinge geometry (see animation below), it can be made sensitive to different ranges. Since it is stamped out of film, it lends itself to a high-volume and low cost process.
