Dielectrics has enjoyed a 35-plus year relationship with Polaroid. To increase
worldwide market penetration of their photo identification products, Polaroid required cost effective manufacturing processes which offered
enhanced security features.
Solutions:
- Comprehensive rebuilding of existing equipment to automate labor-intensive die-cutting and laminating operations through the development of high-speed, multi-task, in-line production equipment.
- Improved product security features through the joint development of the "Smart Touch" sequential numbering system.
- Developed manufacturing processes which could accommodate sensitive holographic image webs.
- Developed rotogravure cylinder etch and print techniques to print high volumes on a four color press with Polaroid's proprietary security inks and adhesives.
